Hi! My name is Ashley. I recently re-joined the CRAH family again this December 2018. I get to work as a receptionist and as an assistant. You may see me at the front desk and you may see me snuggling your pets when you pick them up from boarding.

I first started at Confederate Ridge in 2005 as a receptionist. I left when I joined the Air Force. I recently retired from the Air Force and moved back home to Fredericksburg. I am so happy I was able to come back and work with such a great team again!

When I am not petting puppies and making appointments, I am raising my two amazing little boys, Jack & Clark.  My fur baby is my 12 year old cat, Lily.  I adopted her from Confederate Ridge when she was a kitten.
I look forward to helping you and your pets! Come meet me!

Hello friends, my name is Krystal. It has been my pleasure to work for the great team of Confederate Ridge since 2003. Sam(my dog) and I do our best to keep the employees and bills paid. A lot of changes over the years to keep up to date with technology and treatments for our fur babies. It’s wonderful to see the care and kindness shown by our team every day to our patients. Some we only get to see passing through, some we get to watch grow up, and to some we have to say goodbye. No matter the size or breed, they are ours while they are here. We love them all. Come by and see why I am so proud to be a small part of this wonderful little family we call CRAH.

    Hospital Manager

For as long as I can remember I have had a love for animals.  There is something special about the connection and unconditional love that they give to us. I grew up in Pennsylvania and eventually made my way to Virginia.  I started working at Confederate Ridge in June 2010.  I have worked in many areas of the hospital before being promoted to Practice Manager in 2018.  Many of the employees here have been here for over 10 years!  Which says A LOT about the strong family bond we have here at CRAH.  I truly enjoy coming to work every day.  I love our employees, our clients, but most of all our furry patients.  I feel blessed to be able to do what I love every day here at Confederate Ridge Animal Hospital. When I am not in the office, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Chris, our two human children, Kennedy and Gunnar and our furry children, McCutchen (chocolate lab), Lambert (chocolate lab), Malu (Leonberger), Kladah (Domestic Shorthair), and our Russian Dwarf hamster, Yoda. We spend a lot of time traveling for gymnastics, basketball, football, and baseball.  In my spare time I enjoy working with our Leonberger, Malu who is currently working towards his Grand Championship in AKC Conformation.  We look forward to accomplishing that as well as getting him certified as a therapy dog.

Thank you for choosing us to care for your furry family.  I promise to give them extra love and snuggles and treat them as if they were my own!

As a native of Fredericksburg, Confederate Ridge Animal Hospital has taken care of all my animals since I was a child. I had both dogs & cats growing up as well as horses and Dr. Witter was their vet. As an adult my passion for cats grew and most people know me as the crazy cat lady! I owned The Cats Closet, a cat lovers emporium, for 27 years. After 'retiring' I realized I missed being around people who loved animals as much as I did and I was fortunate to become a part of the CRAH family that I already knew & loved.  I enjoy coming to work every day and being around dogs & cats as well as their owners & our staff. You couldn't ask for a better place to work or bring your fur child.  We treat every pet like they were our own.

I've been married to my husband Chuck for over 30 years.  Little did he know when I told him  'Love Me, Love My Cat' what that would evolve into! When I'm not working I enjoy volunteering with the cat rescue Operation Hood, going to the beach,  VT football games, horseback riding and spending time with friends, family & my cats!
